Seaboard Parish, Complete
by George MacDonald
Summary
The Seaboard Parish is part of a trilogy written by George MacDonald. The first book is The Annals of a Quiet Neighborhood and the last one is the Vicar's Daughter. The connective character is Harry Walton who leads a small seacoast parish. In this story the reader is introduced to Mr. Percival. This character is an artist albeit a struggling one. Walton has a daughter, Ethelwyn, who falls head over heels for Percival. As with all his novels, MacDonald spiritual truths and practices are part of the story. This one deals with forgiving one another and what it means to be a part of a community among other themes.
