Directions to Church-Wardens for the Faithful Discharge of Their Duty (1805) by Humphrey Prideaux gives practical instructions to follow for a church to glorify God in worship and practice. Prideaux makes the duties of church leaders clear so that church work is done correctly. Of equal is not more important is that God is glorified and honored in church worship and organization. Lastly is the community of believers living in harmony without tension and trouble. A chapter is included on several aspects of tithing. A lengthy list of situations that may arise in a church is at the end of the book with a page reference on where in the book that particular issue is addressed. Prideaux was the Head Arch-Deacon of Suffolk. He lived from 1850 to 1921.
