Chalcedon
CHALCEDON, kal’se-don: A city of Bithynia, on the Bosporus, near Constantinople, the scene of the Fourth General Council (451), at which 498Eutychianism was condemned and the so-called Creed of Chalcedon adopted. See Christology, IV; Eutychianism.
