Heinrich Schmid
Biography
German-born composer Heinrich Kaspar Schmid learned much about music from his choral conductor father. As a young boy, Heinrich sang in a boy's choir. Not only did he study music at the university level, but he would also become a professor of music. His music skills as a singer and composer were in demand throughout Europe. For many years, he was the director of the Augsburg Music School. He wrote several sonatas, a symphony, an opera, and other compositions. Schmid lived from 1874 to 1953.Wailand Groenendyk
