John Welch
Biography
John Welsh was born in Scotland in 1568. He spent his formative years in rebellion against his parents but turned his life around. He attended the University of Edinburgh and became a minister in the Presbyterian Church. He married a daughter of John Knox. He was imprisoned by King James VI for preaching and later exiled to France where he continued to preach and write. His published works include Forty-eight Sermons, A Cry to the Whole Earth, and Popery Anatomized. Welsh died in 1622.Wailand Groenendyk
